Wings is a school for girls located outside Hyderabad that provides a free, high quality education and two meals a day to girls from very poor families. The school follows the C.B.S.E. curriculum, a nationally recognized program that provides a strong academic foundation. Enrichment classes include music, art, and dance. Wings has a Tae-kwon-do self-defense program that competes and wins medals at the national championships every year.
As the girls get older, they receive job skills training and scholarships to local junior colleges. Many of the students at Wings are at high risk for exploitation. By providing the girls with healthy meals as well as an education, families are encouraged to keep their daughters in school. The Kiran Anjali Project helps fund basic operating expenses for the school.
